Our Story

In Arabic, the word Hikaya means "story". Here at Hikaya Haus, every thread tells a story - of home, of identity, of lineage. 

Hikaya Haus is a modern tribute to the cultural wear we grew up with. We honor the timeless elegance of the jalabiya - reimagining it with elevated fabrics, intentional tailoring, and contemporary silhouettes. 

Sudanese peopole take pride in how they present themselves to the world. Our mission is to reflect that by creating pieces that feel proud, polished, and deeply connected to who we are. 

We aren't just making clothes.

Our Products

Our mission is to design garments that remind us of where we come from, even when we're far from it. Hikaya Haus is about making our culture accessible, wearable, and present wherever the diaspora lives. 

We work with Sudanese tailors, often those who have found a new home abroad, to create intentional Jalabiyas and Ala Alla pieces. We are dedicated to ensuring that the ones who tell our story be those that have inspired it.
